Prisma Martinez is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#111896), who is proud to serve our multicultural community. Her years of experience in the clinical field have provided her with the tools to support those trying to break away from depression, anxiety, loss and grief, stress, low self-esteem, relational difficulties, family conflict, parenting challenges, acculturation, life transitions, and many other issues.

A fluent Spanish-speaking immigrant to the United States, Prisma received her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Mount St. Mary’s University, Los Angeles and her Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from California State University, Los Angeles. She has also earned a certificate of proficiency in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy from the National Child Traumatic Stress Network.

In her time away from the office, she enjoys providing education to parents, caregivers, and professionals on fetal, infant, toddler, and preschool development. Prisma also teaches Infant Massage classes that cultivate a positive and secure attachment between parent and baby.

Prisma is supervised by Lara Mekhitarian, LMFT(#78395).

“Welcome to the safe space that empowers your true authentic self. I am passionate about my role in helping individuals and families find peace in their world. In therapy, I help guide your individual healing process in a safe, respectful, and compassionate space. I use an empathetic approach to support your way in making sense of the struggles that come with unforeseen experiences. Growing up under the eyes of trauma gave me a powerful narrative to first-hand understand the strength and effort it takes to break away from the chains that bind you, allowing me to be a strong advocate for those who are trying to find their voice.” – Prisma Martinez
